Our sponsorship projects make a positive contribution to society

In the context of the principle of 'helping people to help themselves', RBI, often in cooperation with various NGOs, offers support in the form of sponsorships in the areas of sports, art and culture, innovation (education, science and research, as well as for charitable initiatives and environmental activities, in addition to donations.

Call for Sponsorships

Continuing our support for the community, Raiffeisen Bank issues an open call for support for projects to be developed during 2026, in one of the following fields: sport, culture, social, education and environment.

Football Federation

The bank renewed its partnership with the Kosovo Football Federation in 2024. According to a sponsorship agreement, the bank is the main sponsor of the First League (Raiffeisen Liga e Pare). The renewal of support emphasizes the banks’ ongoing commitment to supporting this sport.

Volleyball Federation

In 2023, the bank entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Kosovo Volleyball Federation, becoming its main sponsor. Under the agreement, both the men’s and women’s leagues are named Raiffeisen Superliga, and the sponsorship extends to the national team as well. Volleyball is gaining momentum in Kosovo, and the bank is pleased to contribute to its growth and success.

Kosovo Padel Federation

Raiffeisen Bank has become a sponsor of the Kosovo Padel Federation, supporting the development of this growing sport. This partnership further strengthens the bank’s commitment to promoting sports in Kosovo, including football, volleyball, and e-sports, with the aim of fostering local talent and passion for sports.

Esports

In July 2025, the bank supported the European E-sports Championship, hosted for the first time in Kosova. Held at the 1 Tetori Hall in Prishtina, the event gathered many fans of e-sports in the country as players from 36 countries competed in CS2 and Dota2.

Wings for life

In May 2025, many of the bank’s staff joined the Wings for Life World Run, a global event dedicated to funding research for spinal cord injuries. By registering through the Red Bull Wings for Life app, participants contributed directly to this cause and the bank was pleased to cover the registration costs for colleagues who took part. This initiative reflects our broader commitment to inclusion and support for organizations like HANDIKOS, which empower people with disabilities in Kosovo.

Prishtina Outdoor Festival

In August 2025, the bank supported the Prishtina Outdoor Festival, organized by Klubi Alpin Prishtina. The three-day event offered a wide range of outdoor activities including kayaking, yoga, hiking, and clean-up actions.

Vere n’Dimen Festival

At the end of 2024, Prishtina’s main squares were at the heart of the holiday celebrations, where the Vere n’Dimen festival invited people from all over the country to create special memories with their family and friends. In addition to drinks, delicious food, ice skating, and other fun activities, the festival also featured live music every night with performances by local artists. The bank was proud to contribute to making the holiday season truly magical by being the main sponsor of Vere n’Dimen.

The Festival of Theaters

The Festival of Theaters is a significant event in Ferizaj, established over 50 years ago. Alongside its diverse program of plays, the festival offers panel discussions on topics related to theater and culture. The bank has been a longstanding supporter of this festival.

PriFest - Prishtina International Film Festival

In 2023, PriFest, a prominent film event marked its 15th anniversary, and at Raiffeisen Bank, we are proud to have supported its successful journey since day one. The festival offers a rich program of movies and other activities related to the film industry, such as workshops and discussions. Additionally, music nights are also part of the festival. PriFest gathers artists and movie fans from Kosovo, the region and beyond. 

Chopin Piano Fest Prishtina

Established in 2010, the Chopin Piano Fest Prishtina is dedicated to classical music. Held annually, typically in spring, the festival brings together artists who perform classical masterpieces for an audience eager to attend such events. The bank is a longstanding partner of the festival. 

Kosova Art Gallery

The bank has a longstanding partnership with the Art Gallery in Kosovo, emphasizing its dedication to supporting the country's arts scene. The gallery serves as a one of the main hubs for artistic expression, hosting numerous exhibitions throughout the year.

Autostrada Biennale

Autostrada Biennale is an international contemporary art exhibition held every two years since its inception in 2017. The latest edition, held in 2023, featured art events in both Prizren and Prishtina.

International Cybersecurity Defense Challenge

In February 2025, the bank supported the International Cybersecurity Defense Challenge, an event that brought together students from universities across Kosovo, the region, and Iowa State University to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges. The event was held at the Technical Faculty of the University of Prishtina and featured around 30 teams. The event provided a valuable platform for students to learn, network, as well as to raise awareness about the growing importance of cybersecurity capabilities in Kosovo.

Training bootcamp ahead of the European Cybersecurity Challenge

In August 2024, the bank supported Kosovo’s students to help them best prepare for their debut in the European Cybersecurity Challenge. The five-day bootcamp, held in Prishtina, allowed the team to sharpen the skills and knowledge needed to excel on the global stage. The 2024 championship took place in October in Turin, Italy, where teams from across Europe, along with invited non-European countries, competed.

ATOMI Institute

Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo continues its long-term support for ATOMI, an institute that nurtures intelligence, talent, and leadership among gifted children in Kosovo. Through this partnership, the bank empowers future generations to pursue education, innovation, and meaningful careers, helping build a more skilled and competitive workforce for the country’s future.

Financial education for SMEs

Our bank partnered with ECIKS to enhance financial literacy among SMEs, the backbone of Kosovo’s economy. Through nationwide workshops, entrepreneurs learned key topics like budgeting, financial planning, investment, and savings, with a strong focus on transparency and declaring turnover to build trust with banks and support sustainable business growth.

Digital Skills Festival at the ITP Prizren

The bank supported the second edition of the Digital Skills Festival at ITP Prizren in May 2024, a key event showcasing Kosovo’s progress toward the Twin Transition of sustainability and digitalization. The festival featured workshops, hackathons, and talks attended by students from across Kosovo. ITP Prizren, co-financed by the German and Kosovo governments and implemented by GIZ, serves as a regional hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development.

Playground in Gërmia Park enhanced with the bank’s support

In April 2025, a new children’s playground in Gërmia Park was officially opened, offering upgraded equipment and inviting kids and families to enjoy more time outdoors. The project was supported by the bank as part of a cooperation with Prishtina Municipality, strengthening the bank’s commitment to initiatives that benefit the community. This initiative builds on previous cooperation with the municipality, including the planting of around one hectare of green space in Bregu i Diellit in 2024.

Bank volunteers help mark trails and clean up Badoc Lake

As part of our volunteering activities, many colleagues of the bank spent a day at Badoc Lake in June 2025 helping mark hiking paths and clean up the surrounding area. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to community and environmental care.

Tree planting initiative through GreenWings project

In 2024, the bank supported the GreenWings project in Prishtina, an innovative tree planting initiative led by Sustainability Leadership Kosova. Using drone technology, around 13,000 seed pods were deployed across five hectares of land.

One hectare in Bregu i Diellit transformed with 400 trees

In October 2024, in collaboration with the Prishtina Municipality, the bank undertook a green initiative by planting trees and greenery across approximately one hectare in the Bregu i Diellit neighborhood. A total of 400 trees and plants were added to the area, transforming the space into a welcoming environment for the community to enjoy. This effort not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the neighborhood but also plays a vital role in reducing pollution. 

The Wood Industry Convention

The Wood Industry Convention, organized annually by the Kosovo Wood Processors Association, is a major event for Kosovo's rapidly growing wood sector. In 2024, the event once again brought together businesses and key stakeholders, providing an excellent platform to discuss industry trends and explore new opportunities. As a committed supporter of the industry, the bank was proud to sponsor this important event.

Thanksgiving Charity Gala Dinner

In December 2024, Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo was honored to be part of the Thanksgiving Charity Gala Dinner, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo. The event raised funds for various meaningful causes, and the bank was proud to contribute to this initiative.

Austrian Business Community Gathering and National Day Celebrations in Kosovo

At the end of 2024, the bank supported the Austrian Business Community’s End-of-Year Gathering, marking the 25th anniversary of Advantage Austria in Kosovo. The event fostered cooperation between Austrian and Kosovar businesses and brought together leaders from politics, business, and culture. The bank also continued its support for the Austrian National Day celebrations, honoring Austria’s strong ties and investments in Kosovo.
