CEO Kovacic attends Raiffeisen Bank International’s annual RBI Brussels Day

Our Bank’s CEO, Ms. Anita Kovacic, attended Raiffeisen Bank International’s annual “RBI Brussels Day” for public affairs activities at the EU level.

During her visit, Ms. Kovacic met with many high-level stakeholders, including with the office of Ms. Viola von Cramon, a European Parliament member, and the EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Mr. Oliver Varhélyi, having broad discussions and highlighting the importance of EU banks in the context of  the EU ambition of integrating Western Balkans.

The day concluded with the “RBI’s CEE Parliamentary Dinner” where the importance of unity, shared responsibility, and the impact of geopolitics on EU enlargement were highlighted.

This followed June 2022 event in Brussels focused on EU-Western Balkans Relations where Ms. Kovacic was a panelist of the roundtable on “The Future of EU Enlargement: tackled from the perspective of the Invasion of Ukraine and its impact on the Western Balkan”, along with other distinguished participantsincluding Member of European Parliament Lukas Mandl. The discussions were centered around the business perspective and emphasized the need for a credible EU enlargement perspective for the Western Balkans.

Ms. Kovacic will return to #Brussels on 3rd November as a speaker at an eventorganized by CEPS, focusing on EU enlargement and learning from pastexperiences. Additional information on this event will be shared shortly.
