Raiffeisen Bank Kosova hosts RBI CEO Johann Strobl in strategic visit focused on growth and innovation

Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo welcomed Dr. Johann Strobl, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), for a visit aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships and exploring new opportunities for growth.

This marks Dr. Strobl’s second visit to Kosovo inrecent years, showcasing RBI’s ongoing commitment to the local market.

In the initial meetings of his two-day visit, Dr. Strobl was welcomed by our CEO, Ms. Anita Kovacic, where discussions centered on ongoing initiatives to drive growth and innovation.

During his visit, Dr. Strobl also met with other members of the bank’s leadership, with additional highlights including a tour of our main branch in Peja and a dinner with customers. 

Alongside internal engagements, he also met with key institutional leaders, including acting Prime Minister Mr. Albin Kurti, acting Minister of Finance Mr. Hekuran Murati, and Central Bank Governor Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, as well as representatives from the business sector.

He also joined several engaging activities with our staff, including a showcase by Raiffeisen Bank Kosova and Raiffeisen Tech Kosova teams on solutions developed for the bank and the RBI Group, such as the recently launched RAIA, the first GPT-powered chatbot in Kosova’s banking market. 

Raiffeisen Bank, the largest Austrian investor in Kosova, has been present in the country since 2003, when Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) acquired 100% of the shares of the former American Bank of Kosovo.

From its early operations in a rebuilding economy, Raiffeisen has grown into the country’s largest bank across all major financial indicators, contributing significantly to Kosova’s economic development.
