In terms of education and innovation in 2018, Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo supported the Atomi project, which focuses on identifying and supporting people with exceptional intelligence, gifts and talents in Kosovo. More precisely, the aim of the Atom project is the early identification of students with extraordinary intelligence, gifts and talents (hereinafter atomist) in order to provide appropriate opportunities, conditions, care and relevant education for these students based on their intellectual potential, gift, talent, personality, ambitions, interests, motivation and their socio-economic conditions and circumstances. All these services and activities are provided to enable these students to develop and realize their full intellectual potential and thus to contribute first to their personal development and at the same time to the social and national interest. Other important projects that were supported during 2018 were music classes for children with Down Syndrome and the summer camp for SOS Kindergarten in Prishtina. As part of its support for education and innovation in 2018, the Bank continued its cooperation with BoneVet. BoneVet is a program that provides a stimulating environment for imagination, creativity and team building. Children learn by doing things and thinking about what they do. They have access to modern technology ARDUINO, LITTLEBITS, COMPUTERS, 3D-PRINTERS, ELECTRONICS, CNC, and the like to make/create, design and play. In this way, they gain both technical skills and other skills not taught in school, such as critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, constructive communication and self-confidence. They teach values like equality, diversity, open communication and freedom of expression. Another activity in the field of innovation is the cooperation with the Innovation Center Kosovo (ICK) in the fields of cyber security and fintech, where the Bank provided mentoring and training sessions on these topics to help start-up businesses planning to invest in this field. In addition, Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo facilitated the opening of two computer labs in two private universities as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Bank and the Universities by equipping both laboratories with computers.
