What is GEFF?

GEFF - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) in the Western Balkans provides financing for the housing sector as well as for businesses offering energy efficiency products, renewable energy products, and services to individuals. GEFF in the Western Balkans is implemented within the framework of the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme for the Western Balkans (REEP Plus), co-financed with grants from the European Union, the Western Balkans Investment Framework, and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance. Cooperation with donors is essential for the promotion of green technologies and high-performance practices. Donors provide critical support for GEFF projects that mitigate or build resilience to the effects of climate change and other environmental threats.

Who is the loan intended for?

Individuals who own or live in a house or apartment in which they plan to implement eligible products that qualify under GEFF. Groups of individuals, housing associations, apartment building owners' associations, or other equivalent bodies that represent the interests of residents.

Your benefit
Raiffeisen Bank will provide loans to private homeowners for investments in energy efficiency measures, such as insulation, windows, heat pumps and solar panels. After the successful implementation of the projects, borrowers will be entitled to up to 20% cash back.

The EBRD GEFF programme in the Western Balkans is co-financed by the European Union through the Western Balkans Investment Framework, Austria, Japan, Denmark and Austria and Switzerland through the High Impact Partnership on Climate Action (HIPCA).
